The Local Quote aims to be readable by everyone, whatever device or assistive technology they use.

What the site does

• Pages use headings in a logical order, so screen readers can move through a guide section by section.
• Every photograph has a text description, and a skip link at the top of each page jumps straight to the content.
• Text can be enlarged in the browser without breaking the layout, and the layout adapts to phones, tablets and desktops.
• Colours for text and backgrounds are chosen for strong contrast, and links are underlined inside articles.
• The site works without JavaScript; the menu on small screens opens without scripts.
